Oksana studied at the Ukranian Academy of Art, Kiev. She has exhibited widely throughout the Ukraine and Ireland. She has also illustrated a large number of books for Grailk Publishing House including Ukrainian Folk Fairy Tales and Gofman Short Stories.
The creation of painting is a complex and joyful study of self discovery and a mysterious journey into the unfathomable and unpredictable world of self-consciousness. I believe there are moments that can be found throughout any given day that give sanctuary. Finding these moments amidst the stress of everyday life gives me artistic inspiration. As an artist I believe life's most poignant moments come from the ability to fuse fantasy and reality: to see the mythic ad-mist the chaos.The relationship between living in the moment versus escaping to another is an issue that I investigate in my paintings.
