STATEMENT
My work is predominantly inspired by the beautiful coastline of Galicia during my annual
summer visits to this picturesque region of North Spain. My work reflects the vibrant
colours inspired by the movement and sunlight in the underwater world, creating an
ever-changing pattern of light and shadow. My long-term love affair with the sea has
been represented through the original experiments in fluid art, alcohol ink, spray paint
and high-gloss epoxy resin finishes, produced on large black backgrounds of aluminium
composite. Some of my more recent work has been in response to the ‘Changing Earth’
and the Aurora Borealis, exploring vibrant oranges, reds and copper.
