Luís Bívar is a Portuguese contemporary figurative and landscape artist living and working in Lisbon. Well established in Portugal and Northern Europe, he is dedicated to capturing emotion through expressive colour and human gesture.

Strongly influenced by Pop Art, Bívar often incorporates elements of comic book imagery reminiscent of Roy Lichtenstein. He embraces imperfection, believing that spontaneity and visible process are essential to artistic expression. His work can be found in public and private collections throughout Portugal and across Europe.
