Jose Cacho

Jose Cacho is a Mexican artist whose work blends modern, historical and allegorical figures with an Art Nouveau sensibility, reminiscent of the gilded canvases of Gustav Klimt. He works with a wide range of materials, including acrylic paint, gold and silver leaf, inks, charcoal, pastels, graphite and oxide powder. The use of layered materials lends his work depth and sensuality.

Cacho also draws inspiration from historical masters such as Velázquez, Ghirlandaio and Leonardo da Vinci, blending their visual language with his own contemporary approach. His artwork has been exhibited internationally, including in Madrid, Florence and New York.
