Brad Gray is an English visual artist based in South Africa. He studied at Falmouth School of Art in Cornwall until 1994, before spending six years working as a successful illustrator. A passionate traveller, Gray has undertaken artist residencies in Bavaria, Germany, and Shanghai, China.

His compositions and figures draw inspiration from artists such as Neo Rauch, Bosch and Bruegel. Blending fantasy and reality, Gray’s paintings explore both the dark and whimsical aspects of human nature. His work is often deeply personal, reflecting the contradictions within us all; light and dark, peace and violence, life and death. He has exhibited internationally, including in Los Angeles, Palermo and London.
