Conor Walton
Conor Walton is an Irish artist based in Wicklow. He studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin before training under Charles Cecil in Florence. Walton describes himself as a figurative painter working within the European tradition, striving to maintain a high level of craft while using paint to explore ideas of truth, meaning and value.
His paintings possess a luminous, mystical quality, achieved through glowing colour palettes and sensitively rendered figures. Walton has received several awards, including the De Agró International Award in 2022 and the Ismail Lulani International Award in 2019. His work has been exhibited in Berlin, Galway, Paris and San Francisco.
