James Horan is an Irish sculptor based in Dublin. He studied at Crawford College of Art and Design and graduated in 2010 with a Master’s degree in Aesthetics and the History of Art. Horan works exclusively in stone, primarily limestone and marble, he exhibits regularly both in Ireland and internationally.

His sculptures focus on people, society and the environment, with humour playing a key role in both concept and form. This lightness allows him to address serious themes in an accessible way. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of subjects, Horan’s work demonstrates a strong command of his material and invites reflection on the world we inhabit.
