Rebekah Mooney was born in Barcelona and raised in Donegal. Growing up in a family deeply devoted to the arts, creativity has been a constant presence throughout her life. She studied English Literature at the University of Essex, graduating in 2014, before moving to Brighton.

Although her academic background is literary, Rebekah was consistently drawn to painting throughout and after her studies. She has since returned to Ireland to reconnect with and reinvest in her artistic practice, continuing to develop her work with a renewed focus and commitment. Her practice focuses on still life and landscape, drawing inspiration from the environments that surround her.
