About the Artists:

David Uda, also known as Duda, was born in London in 1980. He is known for his diverse range of artistic techniques, including paint, stencil, spray, ink, and paste. His works encompass various mediums, including original stencils and glasswork.

Duda's artistic journey began with recognition in the fashion industry when he was awarded Young Fashion Designer of the Year in 2000. He further honed his skills and knowledge in fashion and dress design, graduating from the Grafton Academy in 2001. However, his artistic pursuits eventually led him towards the world of visual arts.

In recent years, Duda has gained prominence in the art scene, with four solo exhibitions and participation in events such as Art Source in the Royal Dublin Society. He was selected by 'The Jack & Jill Children's Foundation' to join Ireland's top artists in the Big Egg Hunt event in 2013, where his artwork raised €10,000 for the charitable organization through a live auction.

Duda's talent and reputation have taken him beyond Ireland's borders. During a visit to the United States, he received a commission to create a large-scale portrait of Samuel Beckett for The Bailey in the Financial District of Wall Street, New York. His artwork can also be found in various establishments throughout Dublin City, including wine bars, restaurants, and retail outlets.

Inspired by the female form, Duda's artistic style incorporates elements of contemporary pop art, reminiscent of renowned artists like Banksy and Warhol. His use of line and composition reflects this inspiration, creating visually striking and dynamic pieces.

In 2017, Duda was invited by Silverstein Properties to participate in an exciting project in 4 World Trade Centre, alongside 33 internationally renowned artists. The project garnered significant attention and acclaim from notable publications such as The New York Times, Forbes, ABC News, and The Irish Times.

Duda continues to captivate collectors worldwide with his unique contemporary pop art style. He constantly expands his portfolio with new works for upcoming exhibitions and undertakes bespoke commissions for admirers of his art. His most recent body of work is set to be showcased in a solo exhibition scheduled for December 2023.

Currently based in Dublin, Duda remains an active and influential artist, leaving his mark on the art world with his distinct artistic style and growing artistic portfolio.
