10-5.30
We are delighted to announce that Aimee Gillen is holding a show in Sol Art Gallery from the 23rd of August until the 29th of August.
Aimee Gillen is a young up-and-coming artist from Tullamore in Co. Offaly. Based in Dublin now, Aimee studied at Crawford College of Art & Design in Cork and received a BA in Fine Art & Design. Aimee has traveled extensively, honing her work into a unique and diverse style. Her work is inspired by all types of narrative from Celtic to Nordic mythology. She depicts stories through her work and develops characters that inspire the masses. Aimee’s energetic and striking work combines highly decorative motifs and patterns with beautiful rich vibrant colour. The colours attack your senses at first glance, drawing you into her work. She has been developing this technique over the last few years, combining different materials to achieve the unique style. Gillen’s work has fast been gaining private collectors and commissions. She has had a very positive reaction from buyers at the recent Art Source Art Fair. Aimee has been working on self initiated and commissioned projects since 2009.
