We’re delighted to announce the launch of ‘Frequencies a joint exhibition by Turkish artists Alea Pinar Du Pre and Didem Yagci.
Since 2015 we have been showing Alea’s paintings and in that time her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally at shows from Dublin to Miami.
This new body of work by Alea emphasises a kinetic aspect to her paintings whilst still adhering to her previous style of vibrant pop art images. The works are much more linear giving you the impression that the subject is present in the canvas. The texture is new and the colouring very refined.
Didem Yagci’s work possesses both a wall based and sculptural aspect to them. Raising out from the wall, Yagci delicately weaves her painting to create a wave like affect on the canvas. Her pieces draw you in with their bold colours and yet she also successfully works in monochrome.
