This is Rebekah's first solo show in the gallery. Rebekah say's of her work:

“I take inspiration from many varied sources. Sometimes a glassware object or a particularly vibrant label or piece of fruit will catch my eye and prompt me to make a painting.

Over the last few years I have realised that when life and it's distractions are quiet I can fully focus on the subject.

The studio is a quiet place to fully observe my chosen subject matter and achieve clarity and resolution in my still life paintings.

I have come to relish the peaceful moments of city life such as dawn or dusk when the noise of the city is reduced to a whisper.”
